March 25th was American Diabetes Association Alert Day. Better Hearing Institute urged people with diabetes to have their hearing checked. Hearing loss is approximately twice as common in individuals with diabetes, so hearing evaluations are imperative. Studies have suggested that high blood glucose levels in diabetic individuals can damage the blood vessels and nerves located in the inner ear, which can affect the ability to hear.

Audiology Hearing Aid Associates of Lynchburg has officially relocated to our new home at 2104 Langhorne Road. We initiated the move on Friday, December 6 and worked tirelessly over the next few days to relocate and settle in to our new space. We saw our first patients for hearing aid repairs in the new office on Wednesday, December 11, and we reopened for diagnostic appointments and hearing aid fittings on Thursday, December 12. We look forward to serving our patients at our new, more spacious, location. Please stop by to say hello and see our new space. If you have previously purchased a hearing aid through our office, stop in and tell us you saw this announcement on Facebook or on our website blog, and we will give you a free package of hearing aid batteries!
Lynchburg patients, in case you haven't seen our new sign at 2104 Langhorne Road, you'll be interested to view this photo. The new sign is already in place, and we look forward to moving into our new office location by about mid-December. Our new practice is across the street and only one block up the street (closer to Centra Lynchburg General Hospital).
